A blower motor resistor is used to regulate the motors speed. At a higher fan speed the resistor provides less resistance to the blower motor. This allows the blower motor to spin faster moving more air. Keep changing cabin air filter for enhanced working of blower motor.
A Hyundai heater blower motor comes for about 90$ whereas a heater blower motor for Hyundai Elantra costs about 120$.
The Hyundai catalytic converter resembles a muffler. It is located in the exhaust system towards the front of the vehicle. The outer shell of the catalytic converter is made up of stainless steel. The inner shell contains a catalyst made from a noble metal such as platinum, palladium or rhodium. Depending on the engine configuration, vehicles may have two or more catalytic converters. Hyundai catalytic converters reduce the level of harmful poisonous gases in exhaust emissions. Filling your catalytic converter with leaded fuel is a sure shot cause of its failure.
A catalytic converter for Hyundai Sonata / Hyundai Scoupe / Hyundai Excel / Hyundai Elantra varies between 12$ to 175$. A catalytic converter for Hyundai Tiburon is priced slightly higher at around 275$.
The outer body of the Hyundai thermostat has a temperature-sensitive paraffin based valve. This valve opens and closes based on the vehicles coolant temperature. The thermostat is located on the top of the engine, in the outlet going to the radiator. Some thermostats are mounted at the bottom of the engine near the radiator hose inlet to the engine. An open thermostat results in low heater output, overheating and poor fuel economy.

Hyundai models which use a coil over strut design suspension have a steering rack. A steering rack is used to save space and weight. Located on the cars sub-frame, it is connected to the steering column and the tie rods. Leakage of steering fluid from the seals or the boots indicates steering rack failure. Ensure the correct Hyundai fluid is being used in the system.

In front of the engine and just behind the front grille of the car is located the radiator. The Hyundai radiator has a radiator shroud that directs the air through the radiator. It also has a radiator cap and two radiator hoses at either end of the radiator. Most Hyundai radiators are specifically designed and are of aluminum. It takes the heat out of the engine by transferring heat from the coolant in the radiator. Care should be taken that there are no obstructions like leaves or paper in front of the radiator. This might overheat the engine.
